Jerald Tillman's Bio

The JL Tillman Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency that represents many of the top insurers, was started by Jerald L. Tillman In 1977. With 35 years of experience in the insurance business, Jerald has been an industry leader both locally and nationally.

He is the Founder Emeritus of the National African American Insurance Association now based in Washington D.C. The Association is dedicated to diversification in the insurance industry by encouraging African Americans to build sustaining successful careers in the industry. Currently there are chapters in Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Milwaukee, Dallas, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.

His agency takes a lot of pride in finding the best solution for his many clients. The agency represents such companies as Metlife Auto Home, Travelers, State Auto, Safeco, Progressive, Anthem, Humana, just to name a few. The agency handles both individual and corporate insurance needs.

Jerald is also Publisher/CEO for SuccessGuide, the Networking Guide to African American Resources in Southwest Ohio. SuccessGuide has been part of the Cincinnati Dayton community since 1991. It’s unique combination of editorial features and directory listings make it a “must have” for all professionals in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky.

Jerald received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio.
